Cornerstones, Chattanooga’s only non-profit Historic Preservation Organization, exists to preserve the architectural heritage and urban fabric of Chattanooga. Cornerstones is a catalyst for promoting the importance of restoring the buildings of our past for today’s uses, while bringing together the resources required to effect such change. Cornerstones works to conserve and bring new life to the historic buildings and streets of Chattanooga, making them relevant properties of the present.  We also seek to confirm that Chattanooga’s visual and spatial identity are enriched well into the future, through the conscious conservation of those historic structures and public streets that are worthy of retention. The challenge falls to Cornerstones to keep watch and champion their maintenance and profitable use. And, when necessary, step in to ensure their preservation and revitalization.

Wine over Water is the annual fundraiser for Cornerstones.
